The government may be shut down, but local community members know how to give. The Northern Kentucky University Social Work Program hosted a shopping giveaway and lunch for the residents of the Anna Louise Inn on Saturday, October 5th, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Inn.
Residents were able to collect personal care items, make-up, clothing, and purses for free. 95% of the residents at the Anna Louise Inn live on incomes below the 2012 poverty line of $11,170.
Lunch was provided by Mellow Mushroom Pizza.
