On Friday, December 3, at 7 p.m., the Christ Church Cathedral presents Hildegard of Bingen and the Living Light, a one-woman musical about the 12th century German mystic, prophet, healer and composer Hildegard of Bingen.
During the performance, Linn Maxwell accompanies herself on authentic medieval instruments, performing seven of Hildegard’s compositions. Hildegard challenged the established authority of the church.
There is no ticket charge, but a freewill offering will be collected for Cincinnati area organizations that serve the needs of women. The Anna Louise Inn, which has been providing low-income housing for women for 101 years, is one of the organizations to benefit from the performance.
