Mary Carol Melton, Executive Vice President of Cincinnati Union Bethel, one of four finalists, won the Woman of the Year- Nonprofit at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber We Celebrate Awards Breakfast. This award honors the most insightful, influential, and inspiring women in nonprofit organizations.

Mary Carol Melton has worked for over 30 years in nonprofits addressing the issues in the areas of mental health, substance use, and criminal justice. Most recently she led a team of over 20 agencies to create the Off the StreetsSM program that addresses the needs of women involved in prostitution. She continues to serve as Program Director for this innovative program. In her role as Executive Vice President, she also oversees program operations, human resources, and development.

Melton says, I feel very honored and blessed to be the recipient of this award. It represents what so many women do in the community every day. I believe that this honors the entire staff of Cincinnati Union Bethel and the women, children, and families that we serve.
