Everybody Rides Metro, the charitable arm of Cincinnati Metro, hosted their annual partner luncheon at Hyde Park Community Methodist Church on September 16 to celebrate giving away their one millionth token.
Everybody Rides Metro provides transportation for low-income individuals to encourage self-sufficiency.
Cincinnati Union Bethel’s Off the StreetsSM client Angelik Lark was featured as an example of how the program helps. The Off the StreetsSM program got Angelik on the right track, and when she was ready to look for a job, she did. Angelik used the tokens provided by Everybody Rides Metro to secure a job at Convergys. She has also enrolled at Cincinnati State, and the tokens help her get to class.
Angelik will be part of the next Off the Streets‘ graduating class. We are so proud of her!
